Edinburgh

I had such a lovely day chilling out in Edinburgh on Saturday. The weather was beautiful, for one thing! I did very little… some window shopping, lunch in a restaurant I’d always wanted to try, a visit to Jim Garrahys Fudge Kitchen (yum!), coffee over several hours reading a novel (something I don’t read much!), a walk in the park… I wandered through the Meadows for a while in the early evening sunshine, it was so beautiful. It wasn’t too busy, and yet it was great just to watch people playing. I’m rediscovering play. Doing things for no other reason than because they bring me joy.

hmm, thats definately the royal mile are, and the only two coffee shops i kinda know in that area are starbucks, and chocolate soup… and chocolate soup doesnt have an upstairs (at least it didn’t last time i was over), so im gonna guess you are in St. Arbucks? yea i think some of the guys from the house are going skiing in the new year, but im not one of the medic crew, and also cant afford it, and neither can a couple of others, so the ones that cat afford it are gonna spend a weekend in in edinburgh maybe…

Yep, starbucks it is. Took me back to Fringe Festival days with Jay, Rick, and all you guys! Wee trip to Edinburgh in Jan sounds lovely, hope it works out! I’m heading back to Latvia at the end of Dec for a week, that’ll be the only trip I can afford I think.
