Quote of the Weekend

“I’ve heard it said that if you don’t believe God created the world in six literal days you are denying that Jesus died on the cross. A day in Jupiter is over 300 years long – I guess it depends on where God was standing!”

[Matt Hyam, speaking at the VPN conference]

I choose to take the litteral 6 days on earth as anything else would take away from the greatness of God.

ooooooh emma!! whats happening to you? lol i have never really went into detail about whether its an “old earth” or “young earth”…………….i kinda agree with shawn, its more “God-like” for me that the world was made in 6 days……….the wonder of that seems right, HOWEVER i do not believe it is a “salvation issue” so i guess the quote is spot on in that respect.

Dont you be going all post-modern on me or il have to kick yer ass!!

He could do it in 6 hours if He chose to. Truth is, I don’t have a clue whether it was 6 literal days or not. Don’t really care either as it changes nothing about the awesomeness of God as a creator and designer.

    But I like the quote…
